During my undergraduate time at Saint Michael’s College in the early 1990s, I served as a coach in the Writing Center, where I discovered the transformative power of one-to-one coaching and mentoring.
While earning my master's degree at Columbia University I began working as a clinician and consultant. Since establishing my own practice in 1999, I have focused on coaching and mentoring individuals—from elementary school students to college students and professionals—conducting over 30,000 sessions.
Along the way the most significant lesson I've learned is simple: coaching and mentoring are deeply personal for everyone involved.
